Sweet Whiskey Habanero
This BBQ sauce was created back in the 1990's and was only made on special occasions .
In 2010 after only a few months of marriage I was unexpectedly laid off. My wife and I were facing the grim and stressful realizations that we would not have the income to pay our bills.
We were invited to a family BBQ where I offered to bring a special homemade sauce that I would make only on special occasions, the feedback from that BBQ caused us to look into sharing this sauce with others.
We took a chance using what we had in our savings and invested it into the production of "Sweet Whiskey Habanero" as seen in the photo above.
The label artwork was painstakingly done by my wife and I which took weeks of changes. Our logo was inspired by Beverly Doolittle drawings in which originally the word "Backwoods" was to be hidden in the branches, but it was decided our name must be more recognizable.
Throughout the next pages we are going to share our story of each one of our new inspirations and products as well as sharing our journey throughout the backwoods of the country in search of new label inspirations and the beautiful world we live in.
